After arriving at the airport at 5 am and getting almost all the way through our group check in, the poor lady helping us hit a wrong button and lost all of the work for the 16 of us. She had to start all over! Passports, bag check ins and all. She waived second check bag fee for all of us and let those who wanted to check our carry ons. So nice!
After getting through security, we checked the screen and it said our flight was delayed 10 minutes. Not too shabby! By the time we got to our gate, it was 3 hours... Okay, we can handle that... Good thing we have that extended 6.5 hour layover in Houston!
As time has gone on, our departure time has continued to get pushed back.. Later and later. Now our departure time is 245, which means we will miss our connecting flight to Guatemala City. Oh what an adventure this is turning out to be already!
We've kind of posted up and are just hanging out here. Hoping to figure out a plan with the travel agent, thank goodness for Dave and Laurie (our group leaders who have done this trip many times!) !!
