Preparations: Packing Party

We had our last small group meeting tonight before we leave. We had boxes of vitamins, medicines, swing set supplies, tools, beanie babies, balloons, and so much more! Seeing everything laid out and packing it all into what will be our checked bags was so exciting. It's finally setting in that we leave soon! 

Here is a snapshot of some packed bags!

Eastlake CC put together little gift bags for each of us. So sweet! Full of goodies that will come in handy. TP (toilets don't have public TP there! Some of the things I never would have thought of... Hope I can remember to take the roll with me when I go!), sour patch kids and playing cards (both of which will come in handy for our 6.5 hour layover and our afternoons with the kids in the villages!), bug spray, hand sanitizer, sun screen, and other thoughtful travel size items! Hard to believe that Saturday morning at 5 am our true adventure begins! 

On a side note, I am making sure to extra enjoy my comfy bed and puppy cuddles on my last few nights before the trip! Nothing like some anticipated time away in another country with many unknowns to make you appreciate the comforts of home!
